Initial Intake Session

General Early Intervention Intake is a two-stage process designed to build a holistic understanding of your child’s neurodevelopmental profile and your family’s unique goals.

  • Stage 1: Consultation (Parent Only)

In this initial session, we meet without the child present to ensure an open and detailed discussion. We conduct a comprehensive review of your child’s developmental history, address current concerns, and define clear psychosocial goals. During this time, we also introduce the neuro-informed principles of our parent coaching and play-based intervention model.

  • Stage 2: Observational Play Session

The second session focuses on the child through an initial observation and play-based assessment. Looking at the child’s natural engagement, sensory preferences, and social-emotional responses in a low-pressure, supportive environment.

Individual Play Based Intervention Sessions

Our one-on-one, child-centred play-based intervention sessions are designed to meet the unique needs and goals of each child. Also available at a discount for bulk bookings made in advance. Parent coaching is included to support families throughout this process.

Sibling Relational & Psychosocial Support

Our sibling-focused sessions are designed to strengthen the unique bond between siblings while addressing the specific dynamics of a neurodiverse household. Using a play-based framework, we focus on:

  • Relational Harmony: Building empathy, turn-taking, and shared joy through curated, child-led interactions.
  • Shared Language: Helping siblings understand and navigate each other’s unique communication styles and sensory needs.
  • Emotional Co-Regulation: Providing a safe space for siblings to express their feelings and develop resilience together.

Collaborative Support for Parents and Caregivers

Active parent involvement is the cornerstone of successful early intervention. We empower you through Conscious, Connected, and Positive Parenting frameworks, providing the neuro-informed tools and coaching necessary to foster a thriving home environment. Integrating parent coaching with play-based psychosocial strategies, we create an inclusive support system that benefits both you and your family. Available in person or via telehealth.

Community Impact & Pro Bono Initiative

At Flourish, each year, we dedicate a portion of our caseload to pro bono clients, specifically supporting families who are not yet NDIS-funded and are experiencing genuine financial hardship.

Eligible families may be able to access our Parent Coaching and Play-Based Psychosocial Interventions on a pro-bono basis. This initiative is our way of giving back to our local community and ensuring early intervention is accessible to those who need it most.

Eligibility & Selection

Pro bono services are offered at the discretion of the Lead Practitioner. If you feel your family meets the criteria for this support, please contact us for a confidential discussion regarding our selection process.
